Faith - The Response of the Human Spirit to the Word of God

Now faith is the substance of things Hoped for; the evidence of
things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).
Have you noticed sometimes as you sit listening to God's word, the whole world suddenly seems small? All the challenges you may have been facing suddenly seem like nothing, at that time! The reason is simple. At such a time, the word of God is getting into your spirit and provoking a response from your inner man. That response is faith. This is why the Bible says “...Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). Every time you hear God's word, faith comes to you in the Word. Your spirit becomes energized. Faith is not in the realm of the physical senses; it’s an attribute of the human spirit—it was imparted to your spirit when you were born again (Romans 1 2.3). Thus every time you hear the Word of God, it goes through your mind into your spirit, for it is designed for your spirit.
Now, when you receive the word into your spirit, that word is more real in your spirit than the physical things that your senses perceive because the Word of God is also spiritual. So, if the Bible says that faith is the evidence of the things we don't see or perceive with our senses, then faith is the evidence of what the Word says! Faith accepts and exults what the Word says above the natural circumstances of life. Therefore, faith is that response that your spirit has towards the Word of God.
This is why it's vital for you to regularly study and meditate on the Word. There's a spiritual reaction that is ignited between your spirit and the Word of God that gives you dominion over the circumstances of life! When that reaction takes place, faith rises in you like a giant and you have the assurance that you're who God says you are, you have what He says you have, and can do what He says you can do! The challenges of this world will face away as you find yourself relating with the realities of the Kingdom.

Wisdom is a Compelling Force!

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom,
and with all thy getting, get understanding (Proverbs 4:7,).

True wisdom is of the Spirit. It’s more than the mere application of knowledge as many often define it. There are those who can theorize and astound you with the vastness of their knowledge, yet that doesn't mean they're wise. Wisdom is a compelling force. It makes you do the things you should do, and say the things you should say excellently and at the right time. It causes you to function beyond your human reasoning. When a man lacks the wisdom of God, he'll think the wrong thoughts, say the wrong words, do the wrong things, and make the wrong choices. But when divine wisdom works in you, you make accurate choices and judgments without having to reason them out first.
No wonder the Apostle Paul said, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13). Wisdom is that controlling power that works in us, not just to will, but also to do the will of God. It’s the compelling force that causes you to walk with divine insight in God's perfect will for your life.
Thanks be unto God, who has made divine wisdom available to you in Christ: “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom...” (1 Corinthians 1:30). Thus, that compelling force to think, act, and function at a high level of excellence has been made available to you in Christ. Recognize and take advantage of it today.
